It’s a moment I’m glad I was able to represent in a song, when you run into someone that you used to be in love with, but now that’s gone, and all that you have is drama and the desperation and the horrible feeling of awkwardness and not knowing what to do or where to stand or how to act natural. That, as well as that I just like seeing how the crowd jumps up and down when I play it.

There were different songs on this record written in different countries and different places and I wrote this on the road. “Back To December” was written in New York City, “The Story Of Us” was in Nashville and I wrote “Mine” somewhere on the road I think Texas actually. So they all have different little birth places.
